When we have faced loss, deep within us are untapped reserves of sorrow. The depth of the reserves are to the extent of which we loved, that is why loss hurts so much. These pockets of grief are emptied by unexpected catalysts. Scenes in a movie or words in a song feel almost cruel in reminding us of what is gone. But I don't believe grief is something to remove, rather it is something to be felt. The only out is through and healing comes by making peace with the cards you have been dealt. In order to love you always risk loss and some losses are simply fated from the start. Although grief feels like it will tear you apart, I find you are only ever stronger for rebuilding.
